✠ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up my child who is struggling with addiction. You know their pain, their battles, and the grip that holds them. Nothing about their life is hidden from You, for Your Word assures me that “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Lord, draw near to my child in this moment. Enter into their struggle with Your healing presence and remind them that they are not alone, that they are still loved, and that Your mercy has not departed from them.
Lord Jesus, You came to set the captives free and to break every chain that binds the human soul. Your Word declares, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). Therefore I place my child into Your hands, asking that You break every chain of addiction and every stronghold that has taken root in their life. Restore their strength, renew their mind, and awaken within them a desire for freedom and healing. Let Your grace be stronger than every temptation and every struggle they face.
Merciful Father, Your Word promises that “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17). Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon my child and fill every empty place within them with Your presence. Remove every influence, every environment, and every habit that draws them deeper into addiction. Replace it with peace, purpose, and a renewed sense of identity as Your beloved child. Heal the wounds that may have led them into this struggle and restore what has been broken within their heart.
Gracious Lord, when I feel helpless as a parent and do not know what to do, remind me of Your promise that “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3). Guide me in how to support my child with wisdom, patience, and love. Strengthen my heart so that I do not lose hope, but continue to trust that You are working even when I cannot see it.
Loving Father, I remember Your promise that “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). I hold onto this truth and believe that the seeds of faith planted in my child’s life will not be lost. Protect them from harm, surround them with the right people, and lead them into a place of healing and restoration. Let their story become a testimony of Your power to deliver and restore.
Therefore I place my child completely into Your loving hands, trusting that You are the God of restoration and freedom. Your Word assures me that “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14). I choose to trust You, to keep praying, and to believe that my child’s breakthrough and healing are coming according to Your perfect will. Fill my heart with peace as I wait upon You.
In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen. ✠
