✠ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, as night falls and silence surrounds me, I come before You reflecting on the mystery and power of the Holy Cross of Your Son. Your Word declares that “the message of the cross is the power of God to us who are being saved” (1 Corinthians 1:18), and so I rest my heart in that power tonight. As this day comes to an end, I place everything beneath the Cross of Jesus my victories, my struggles, my thoughts, and my burdens trusting that Your grace is sufficient for me.
Lord Jesus, I gaze upon Your Holy Cross with reverence and love, remembering that “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness” (1 Peter 2:24). Through Your sacrifice I receive mercy, healing, and restoration. Let the power of Your Cross cleanse my heart from every fault of this day and bring peace deep within my soul.
Father, I hold onto the victory of the Cross, for “He canceled the record of debt that stood against us… nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14). Every burden, every accusation, and every weight I carried today, I now place at the foot of the Cross. Let every chain be broken and every heaviness be lifted through the finished work of Christ.
Lord Jesus, teach me to rest in surrender, for “Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). As I lay down to rest, I also lay down my will, my worries, and my fears, choosing to trust You completely. Let Your peace replace every anxiety and Your presence fill every empty place within me.
Father, I rest under the covering of Your love, knowing that “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Let this truth guard my heart tonight and remind me of who I am in Christ—redeemed, forgiven, and made new.
As I lie down to sleep, I trust in Your promise that “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). Covered by the grace of the Cross, I rest in peace, knowing that Your power watches over me through the night.
In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ,
Amen. ✠
