In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, as this day comes to its close and evening settles in, I come before You with a grateful and reflective heart, remembering Your Word that “Let my prayer be set before You like incense, the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice” (Psalm 141:2). I lift my heart to You now, offering You the moments of this day both the seen and unseen trusting that You have been present through it all.
Lord, I acknowledge that You have carried me through every step of this day, for “The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3). In moments of strength and in moments of weakness, You were with me. I thank You for sustaining me, protecting me, and guiding me even when I did not fully recognize it.
Father, I place before You everything this day has held the words I spoke, the thoughts I carried, the actions I took. Your Word reminds me that “The Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought” (1 Chronicles 28:9). I surrender all to You now, trusting in Your mercy and Your grace.
Lord, if there is anything within me that is not pleasing to You, I ask for Your cleansing and renewal, for “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Wash away every fault, every impatience, and every burden, and fill me again with Your peace.
Father, at this moment I place before You my personal evening intentions, trusting that You hear me and care for every need within my heart.
[PAUSE HERE AND PRESENT YOUR EVENING INTENTIONS]
I rest in Your promise that “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).
Lord, I lift up my family, my loved ones, and all who are connected to me. Cover them with Your peace and protection through this night, for “The Lord will keep you from all harm He will watch over your life” (Psalm 121:7). Let Your presence rest upon every home and bring calm and assurance.
Father, as night deepens, I receive Your peace, for “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You, because they trust in You” (Isaiah 26:3). Quiet my thoughts, remove every anxiety, and let my heart rest securely in Your love.
Lord, I end this day in trust and surrender, knowing that “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble; He cares for those who trust in Him” (Nahum 1:7). I place my life into Your hands as I prepare to rest.
I lie down in peace, confident that “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8).
In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
“The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever.” — Psalm 138:8
Heavenly Father, as this evening comes to an end, I stand upon Your holy Word and declare that my life is safely held in Your hands. I declare that this day's victories and disappointments will not define my future because You are still writing my story. Your Word says, “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3). Therefore, I declare that every plan I have surrendered to You is under Your loving care. I will not allow fear, discouragement, or unanswered prayers to steal the hope You have placed within me. My confidence is not in what I have seen today but in the faithfulness of the God who never fails.
Lord Jesus, I declare that Your peace will reign over my heart, my mind, and my home this evening. I reject every anxious thought, every spirit of fear, every lie of the enemy, and every temptation to lose hope. Your Word declares, “The LORD is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you” (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Therefore, I declare that I am protected by Your grace, strengthened by Your Spirit, and surrounded by Your love. No disappointment will separate me from Your presence, no delay will weaken my faith, and no hardship will silence my prayers. I choose to trust You even when I cannot yet see the answer.
Heavenly Father, I declare Your blessing over my family, health, finances, work, relationships, responsibilities, and every prayer I have placed before You. I declare that every closed door not meant for me will remain closed, and every door You have prepared will open at the appointed time. Your Word says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). Therefore, I will not depend upon my own understanding, but I will trust Your wisdom and Your perfect timing. I declare that my waiting is not wasted, my prayers are not forgotten, and my labour in the Lord is never in vain.
Father, as this evening gives way to night, I declare that I will rest without fear because You are watching over me. I place tomorrow into Your hands before it arrives and declare that Your mercy will meet me when the morning comes. Your Word declares, “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27). Therefore, I declare that I am upheld by Your everlasting arms. My hope is secure, my future is in Christ, and my life belongs entirely to You. Whatever tomorrow holds, I know that You will go before me, remain beside me, and never leave me. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
