DAY 19: THE KNOT OF SELF CURSES AND NEGATIVE DECLARATIONS
DAY 19: THE KNOT OF SELF CURSES AND NEGATIVE DECLARATIONS
For the grace to surrender to Mary, Undoer of Knots, every negative declaration I have spoken over myself, every word of hopelessness, self condemnation, rejection, failure, defeat, worthlessness, and despair that I have repeatedly believed or confessed. May Jesus cleanse my speech, renew my mind, heal the wounds behind my negative words, and give me the grace to speak words that agree with His truth, His promises, His mercy, and His purpose for my life.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy and my loving Mother, today I come before you carrying the knot of negative words I have spoken over my own life. I bring every time I have called myself a failure, declared that I would never succeed, said that nothing good would happen to me, condemned my future, spoken hopelessly about my relationships, finances, health, family, or destiny, and every word I have spoken from a wounded or discouraged heart. Mother, bring these words before Jesus and ask Him to heal the places from which they came. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21). May Jesus teach me to use my words to agree with truth rather than to strengthen the wounds within me.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, help me recognize every destructive declaration that has become deeply rooted in my thinking. When I am tempted to say, "I cannot," "I will never," "Nothing will change," or "There is no hope for me," teach me to turn toward Jesus and remember what God says about me. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). May Jesus heal the way I see myself, silence the voice of condemnation, and give me wisdom to speak words of faith, truth, humility, and hope. May my mouth no longer agree with despair, but may my words increasingly reflect the life and purpose God desires for me. Amen.
"Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear."
Ephesians 4:29
Words spoken repeatedly can shape the way I think about myself and the way I approach life. When I constantly tell myself that I am worthless, that I will always fail, that I am destined to suffer, or that nothing will ever change, those words can become deeply rooted in my heart. They can influence my decisions, weaken my courage, and make me expect defeat before I have even tried. Today, I bring these words before Jesus, not because my words have greater power than God, but because I want my speech and my thoughts to be brought under the truth of His Word.
Scripture calls me to put away words that destroy and to speak what builds up. St. James reminds me that the tongue, though small, can have a great influence (James 3:5). Therefore, I must become attentive to what I continually speak over myself and others. I can acknowledge my pain without declaring hopelessness over my future. I can admit that I am struggling without declaring that I will never overcome. I can recognize my weaknesses without defining my entire identity by them. Jesus calls me to truth, and His truth is greater than the negative conclusions I have reached about myself.
Today, through Mary, Undoer of Knots, I ask Jesus to untie every knot created by destructive speech, self condemnation, hopeless declarations, and words spoken from deep wounds. May He heal the experiences that caused me to speak against myself and renew my understanding of who I am. May I learn to say what agrees with God's truth: that I am created by Him, loved by Him, called to conversion, capable of growth through His grace, and never beyond His mercy. May the words that come from my mouth become instruments of faith, encouragement, repentance, hope, and blessing.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, loving Mother, today I place before you every negative word I have repeatedly spoken over my own life. I bring every declaration of failure, hopelessness, rejection, worthlessness, defeat, poverty, loneliness, sickness, and disappointment that I have spoken from fear or discouragement. I bring every time I have condemned my future because of what I am experiencing today. Take these knots before Jesus and ask Him to heal the wounds that have influenced my speech and renew my mind with His truth. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "I am precious in God's sight, and honored, and He loves me" (cf. Isaiah 43:4). May I stop defining myself by my failures, wounds, disappointments, or circumstances and learn to see myself through the mercy of God.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie every knot of self rejection, hopelessness, fear, shame, and condemnation that has been strengthened by my own words. When I am tempted to speak against myself, teach me to pause and turn toward Jesus. When I feel like a failure, remind me that God is still working in me. When I feel forgotten, remind me that I am seen by Him. When I am discouraged about my future, teach me to trust His providence. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord will perfect His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever" (Psalm 138:8). May Jesus place a new song in my mouth and teach me to speak with faith without denying the reality of my struggles.
Mother Mary, I now place before you the particular intention I carry today. (Mention your intention silently.) I place before Jesus the area of my life where my words have become most negative, whether concerning my health, family, marriage, finances, work, future, vocation, relationships, or personal worth. I ask Him to heal the wounds behind these declarations and give me grace to replace destructive words with truthful and hopeful ones. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "I have plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope" (cf. Jeremiah 29:11). May I trust Jesus with this intention and refuse to pronounce defeat over a future that remains in God's hands.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, help me become disciplined in my speech. May I stop using my own mouth to repeat the very hopelessness from which I am asking God to deliver me. May I learn to speak with humility when I am struggling, wisdom when I am uncertain, repentance when I have sinned, and faith when I am waiting. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). May this not become a careless slogan, but a personal confession of dependence upon Jesus. May He teach me to speak life, courage, truth, hope, and blessing, and may every word I speak increasingly glorify God and cooperate with His purpose for my life. Amen.
This Chaplet is prayed today for every knot created by negative declarations, self condemnation, hopeless words, destructive thoughts, and words repeatedly spoken against myself. I place before Jesus every statement I have made from fear, pain, anger, disappointment, or despair, asking Him to heal the wounds behind my words and renew my mind according to His truth.
I now pray this Chaplet especially for the area of my life where negative words have become deeply rooted, trusting that the mercy of Jesus is greater than my past words and that His truth can renew my heart and my speech.
Before beginning the Chaplet, I quietly place before God the particular negative declaration, struggle, or intention I desire to surrender.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, take these words before Jesus and teach me to speak according to His truth.
Mother Mary, Undoer of Knots, I place my words before Jesus. I surrender every negative declaration I have repeatedly spoken about myself and every thought that has encouraged those words. May Jesus heal my heart, renew my mind, and teach me to speak words that build up rather than destroy. Amen.

May Jesus treat my wounded heart with mercy and restore my hope.

May Jesus give me discipline over my thoughts and words.
Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, obtain for me perseverance to replace negative declarations with words rooted in faith, truth, humility, and hope.
Our Father...
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me. (10 times.)
One Hail Mary and One Glory Be.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, loving Mother, I thank you for receiving every negative word and destructive declaration I have placed before you today. I surrender the words I spoke from fear, disappointment, anger, shame, and hopelessness. Ask Jesus to heal the wounds behind those words and teach me to speak with wisdom and faith. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is good to me; therefore I will hope in Him" (cf. Lamentations 3:25). May hope become stronger within me than the words I once spoke in despair.
Mother Mary, place my mind, my mouth, and my future beneath the loving care of Jesus. May He teach me to speak words that build, encourage, correct, bless, and glorify God. When I am discouraged, help me pray. When I am afraid, help me trust. When I fail, help me repent and rise again. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation" (Isaiah 12:2). May Jesus become the strength behind my words and the hope within my heart. Amen.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie every knot created by my negative declarations and self condemnation.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, obtain for me a renewed mind and a tongue that speaks according to the truth of Jesus Christ.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, lead me to Jesus, that my words may no longer strengthen despair but may become instruments of faith, hope, truth, and blessing. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, Mother of Mercy, today I place before you every negative declaration I have spoken over myself, every word of self rejection, failure, hopelessness, worthlessness, defeat, and despair. You know the words I have spoken in moments when pain became greater than my hope. Take these knots before Jesus and ask Him to heal the wounds from which these words came. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). May Jesus teach me to see myself through His truth rather than through the harsh words I have spoken against myself.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie every knot of self condemnation and hopeless thinking that has taken root within me. Mother Mary, I now place before you my particular intention. (Mention your intention silently.) Carry it before Jesus and ask Him to bring His healing and grace into this area of my life. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me" (Psalm 138:8). May I stop declaring defeat over situations that I have surrendered to God, and may Jesus give me patience to wait for His work in my life.
Beloved Mother, help me guard my words from this day forward. May I no longer use my mouth to strengthen fear, shame, hopelessness, or condemnation. When I am struggling, teach me to speak honestly without surrendering hope; when I fail, teach me to seek mercy; and when I am waiting, teach me to trust God. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped" (Psalm 28:7). Mary, Undoer of Knots, lead me to Jesus and obtain for me the grace to speak words that agree with His truth and bring life, encouragement, faith, and hope into my life and the lives of others. Amen.
Mary, my Mother, I surrender every negative word I have spoken about myself and every painful memory attached to those words. I surrender the times I have called myself a failure, declared that I would never change, or believed that my future was hopeless. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1). May I surrender my fears to Jesus and allow His truth to become stronger within me than every negative declaration I have made.
Mother Mary, help me surrender my tongue to Jesus. May He place wisdom in my speech, discipline in my thoughts, and hope in my heart. When negative words rise within me, may I remember God's promises and choose words that reflect faith rather than despair. I place my future completely into the hands of Jesus, trusting that His purpose is greater than my present circumstances. Amen.
Holy Mother, beloved Undoer of Knots, I thank you for receiving the burden of my negative declarations. I surrender every word that has wounded me, every sentence spoken from despair, and every thought that has convinced me that I cannot become what God has called me to be. May Jesus heal my heart, renew my mind, and teach me to speak with wisdom. May I no longer allow my own words to become a constant reminder of my failures, but may I learn to speak truthfully, humbly, and hopefully.
Mother, remain beside me as I continue this journey. May my mouth become an instrument of blessing rather than condemnation, encouragement rather than destruction, and faith rather than despair. May Jesus teach me to speak His truth over my circumstances without pretending that my struggles do not exist. Through your maternal intercession, may every knot of self condemnation and negative declaration be untied, and may my words increasingly glorify God and cooperate with His purpose for my life. Amen.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for us.
Mary, Mother of Mercy, pray for us.
Mary, Mother of Hope, pray for us.
Mary, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, renew my mind, guard my tongue, and teach me to speak according to Your truth. Amen.
