DAY 14: THE KNOT OF EVERYTHING THAT HAS BECOME TOO HEAVY TO CARRY
DAY 14: THE KNOT OF EVERYTHING THAT HAS BECOME TOO HEAVY TO CARRY
Special Intention
For the grace to surrender to Mary, Undoer of Knots, everything that has become too heavy to carry: every burden of the heart, every family concern, every financial pressure, every painful memory, every responsibility, every unanswered prayer, every fear about tomorrow, and every situation that has exhausted my strength. May Jesus Christ receive what I can no longer carry, renew my strength, quiet my troubled heart, and teach me to surrender every burden into His loving hands.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Compassion and my loving Mother, today I come before you carrying everything that has become too heavy for me. I bring you the burdens I have spoken about and those I have kept hidden in my heart. I bring my family concerns, financial pressures, responsibilities, disappointments, unanswered prayers, painful memories, fears about the future, and the situations that have slowly drained my strength. Mother, you know how exhausting it can become when one burden is followed by another and there seems to be no time to breathe. I place everything into your maternal hands and ask you to carry it before Jesus. Strengthen my heart with the invitation of Jesus: "Come to Me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). May I hear these words personally and have the courage to bring everything to Jesus rather than continuing to carry what He is asking me to surrender.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, when I feel that I must remain strong for everyone while my own heart is exhausted, lead me into the presence of Jesus. Help me understand that surrender is not weakness and that asking God for help is not failure. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Mother, teach me to place my anxieties into the hands of Jesus one by one. Where I have been carrying what belongs to God, help me surrender it. Where I have responsibilities that I must faithfully fulfill, give me strength. Where I am trying to control what I cannot change, give me peace. Where I am simply exhausted, teach me to rest in the presence of God. Amen.
"Come to Me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
There are moments when life does not give me one burden but many burdens at the same time. I may be worried about my family while struggling financially, carrying emotional pain while facing responsibilities, praying for someone I love while dealing with my own unanswered questions. Each individual burden may seem manageable, but when they come together, the weight can become overwhelming. I may continue working, smiling, serving, and helping others while secretly wondering how much longer I can keep carrying everything. Sometimes what I need most is not another person telling me to be stronger, but the grace to remember that Jesus has already invited me to come to Him with my weariness.
Jesus never asked me to carry every burden alone. When He says, "Come to Me," He is inviting me into a relationship of trust. He does not promise that every problem will immediately disappear, but He promises His presence and rest. Scripture shows me that Elijah became exhausted beneath the weight of his journey, and God did not condemn him for being tired. God allowed him to rest, provided nourishment, and strengthened him for the road ahead (1 Kings 19:5–8). The Psalmist also learned to place his burdens before God, declaring that the Lord would sustain him (Psalm 55:22). These passages remind me that even faithful people can become weary, and needing God's strength does not mean that my faith has failed.
Today I bring everything before Jesus. I bring the burden I understand and the burden I cannot explain. I bring what I can change and what I cannot change. I bring the responsibility I must carry and the weight I was never meant to carry. Through the maternal intercession of Mary, Undoer of Knots, I ask Jesus to separate these burdens so that I may recognize what belongs to me and what must be surrendered to God. May He renew my strength, restore my peace, give me wisdom for each responsibility, and teach me to take only one step at a time. May I never allow the weight of tomorrow to crush the grace God gives me for today.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, Mother of Compassion, today I place into your maternal hands everything that has become too heavy for me to carry. I bring the burdens within my heart, the concerns within my family, the financial pressures that have exhausted me, the responsibilities that seem endless, the painful memories that continue to return, and the unanswered prayers that have made me weary. Mother, you know what I have been carrying silently and how many times I have continued moving forward even when I felt that I had nothing left inside me. Take every burden before Jesus and ask Him to give me the grace to surrender what I cannot carry alone. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts; so I am helped" (Psalm 28:7). May I stop depending entirely upon my own strength and learn to depend upon Jesus.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie the knot of emotional exhaustion that has made me feel empty. Untie the knot of constant worry that has stolen my peace. Untie the knot of responsibility that makes me believe everything depends upon me. Untie the knot of fear concerning tomorrow and the knot of regret concerning yesterday. Ask Jesus to teach me what I must carry faithfully and what I must place completely into His hands. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him" (Isaiah 26:3). May my mind become steadied by trust in God rather than controlled by fear. When I cannot solve everything today, give me grace to do what I can and leave the rest with You.
Mary, I now bring before you the particular burdens that have become too heavy for me. (Mention them silently before God.) I bring the person I am worried about, the financial situation I cannot resolve, the relationship that is causing me pain, the responsibility that is exhausting me, the decision I do not know how to make, the prayer that has remained unanswered, and the fear that I cannot seem to silence. Mother, place each one before Jesus and ask Him to give me wisdom for what I must do and peace concerning what I must surrender. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength" (Isaiah 30:15). May I learn that I do not need to solve my entire life in one day. Give me grace to remain faithful to today's responsibilities while trusting God with tomorrow.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie the knot of carrying other people's burdens as though everything depends upon me. Teach me to love without trying to control, to help without destroying my own peace, and to serve without forgetting that I also need God's strength. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). May I receive God's grace precisely where I feel weakest. When I cannot carry another step, may Jesus carry me. When I cannot find the words to pray, may my silence become an offering. When I cannot see a solution, may I remain faithful. Mother, lead me deeper into the Heart of Jesus, where I can surrender every burden and receive the strength, peace, and grace necessary for the journey ahead. Amen.
This Chaplet is prayed today for everything that has become too heavy to carry. I place before Jesus every burden of my heart, every family concern, every financial pressure, every responsibility, every painful memory, every unanswered prayer, every fear about tomorrow, and every situation that has exhausted my strength. Through the maternal intercession of Mary, Undoer of Knots, I ask Jesus to untie the knots created by carrying what I was never meant to carry and to teach me how to surrender my burdens without abandoning my responsibilities.
I now pray this Chaplet especially for the burden that feels heaviest in my heart today, trusting that Jesus knows exactly what I am carrying and is inviting me to bring it to Him.
Before beginning the Chaplet, I quietly name before God everything that I need to surrender today.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, take these burdens into your maternal hands and lead me to Jesus, who alone can give my weary heart true rest.
Mother Mary, Undoer of Knots, I come before you carrying more than I can comfortably bear. I place before you every burden that has exhausted my mind, weakened my heart, and disturbed my peace. Lead me to Jesus and obtain for me the grace to surrender what I cannot control, while remaining faithful to what I am responsible for. Amen.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you.
1. Mother Mary, Undoer of Knots, obtain for me the grace to surrender my burdens. (One Hail Mary.)
2. Mother Mary, Undoer of Knots, obtain for me strength for what I must faithfully carry. (One Hail Mary.)
3. Mother Mary, Undoer of Knots, obtain for me peace concerning what I cannot change. (One Hail Mary.)
Mother Mary, protect me when exhaustion tempts me to make decisions out of fear, anger, or desperation. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations" (Psalm 100:5). May I wait upon God rather than act from panic.
Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, protect my heart when I am overwhelmed. Lead me to Jesus before I make decisions that could deepen my burdens.

Our Father...
On each of the 10 small beads:
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me. (10 times.)
One Hail Mary and One Glory Be.
Holy Mother, beloved Undoer of Knots, I thank you for receiving everything that has become too heavy for me to carry. I surrender the burdens I have carried in silence, the responsibilities that have exhausted me, the fears that have occupied my mind, and the situations that I have tried to control. May Jesus teach me to distinguish between faithful responsibility and unnecessary anxiety. Give me grace to do what I can, seek help when I need it, and surrender what belongs completely in God's hands.
Mother, remain beside me as I continue this journey. When I am tired, lead me to Jesus. When I am afraid, remind me of His faithfulness. When I feel overwhelmed, teach me to surrender. When I cannot see the way forward, obtain for me the grace to take the next faithful step. May Jesus renew my strength and give me His peace, so that I may continue this journey without being crushed by burdens He never asked me to carry. Amen.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, intercede for me and untie every knot created by burdens that have become too heavy to carry.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, teach me what I must carry faithfully and what I must surrender completely to Jesus.
O Mary, Undoer of Knots, lead me to Jesus, who gives rest to the weary and strength to the weak. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, Mother of Compassion, today I place into your maternal hands everything that has become too heavy for me to carry. I bring the burdens I have spoken about and those I have hidden in silence, the family situations that concern me, the financial pressures that exhaust me, the responsibilities that seem endless, the painful memories that continue to return, and the prayers that appear to have no answer. You know how many times I have continued forward while my heart was already exhausted. Mother, take these burdens before Jesus and ask Him to give me the grace to surrender what I cannot carry alone. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is the strength of my life" (Psalm 27:1). May I stop believing that everything depends upon me and learn to rest in the strength of Jesus.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, untie the knot of worry that keeps my mind constantly searching for solutions. Untie the knot of fear concerning tomorrow, the knot of regret concerning yesterday, and the knot of exhaustion created by trying to control everything around me. Ask Jesus to teach me how to carry today's responsibilities without carrying tomorrow's troubles. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "The Lord is my portion; I promise to keep Your words" (Psalm 119:57). May Jesus become my portion when I feel that I have nothing left. Give me wisdom to know what I should do, humility to ask for help when necessary, and peace to surrender what is beyond my control.
Beloved Mother, carry before Jesus the burden that feels impossible for me today. May He untie what has become tangled, lighten what has become unbearable, and give me strength for the next step. If I must continue carrying a responsibility, give me grace to carry it with faith. If I must release something, give me courage to let it go. If I need to forgive, give me mercy. If I need to rest, give me permission to rest without guilt. If I need help, give me humility to receive it. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26). Mary, Undoer of Knots, lead me into the rest of Jesus, where I can breathe again, pray again, hope again, and continue my journey with the strength that comes from God. Amen.
Mary, my Mother, I surrender to Jesus everything that has become too heavy for me. I surrender the people I cannot change, the situations I cannot control, the questions I cannot answer, and the outcomes I cannot determine. I surrender my need to understand everything before I trust God. Strengthen my heart with God's promise that: "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). Teach me to become still before God and allow His presence to quiet what fear has disturbed within me.
Mother Mary, help me carry only what God asks me to carry. May Jesus give me strength for today's responsibilities and grace to leave tomorrow in His hands. When I become overwhelmed, remind me that I can return to Him again and again. I place my entire life, my family, my work, my future, my struggles, and my unanswered prayers into His hands. May His grace be enough for me today, and may I trust Him for tomorrow when tomorrow arrives. Amen.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, as I complete this fourteenth day, I leave everything that has become too heavy in your maternal hands. I surrender the burdens that have exhausted my heart and ask Jesus to restore what constant worry has taken from me. May He renew my strength, quiet my mind, and teach me to trust Him one day at a time. I no longer want to carry alone what Jesus has invited me to place before Him.
Mother, remain beside me as I continue this novena. When another burden comes, teach me to bring it immediately to Jesus instead of allowing it to accumulate within my heart. May I learn to pray before I panic, surrender before I despair, and trust before I fear. Through your maternal intercession, may Jesus untie every knot that has become too heavy for me and give me the grace to continue my journey with renewed strength, deeper faith, and a peaceful heart. Amen.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for us.
Mary, Mother of Compassion, pray for us.
Mary, Comforter of the Afflicted, pray for us.
Mary, Help of Christians, pray for us.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, give rest to my weary heart. Amen.
