PROTECTION, DELIVERANCE AND SPIRITUAL VICTORY
DAY 7: DELIVERANCE FROM UNFORGIVENESS, BITTERNESS, AND THE DESIRE FOR REVENGE
Today, I bring before God every wound caused by betrayal, rejection, abandonment, injustice, disappointment, and painful words. I pray for the grace to forgive those who have hurt me, to release the bitterness I have carried, and to surrender every desire for revenge into God's hands.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I come before You today carrying wounds that I have sometimes struggled to explain. There are people who have hurt me deeply, words that I still remember, situations that changed my life, and disappointments that left wounds in my heart. Some of these wounds have remained hidden for a long time because I learned how to smile while carrying pain inside me. Lord, You know every person who has wounded me and every situation that still causes my heart to ache. Today, I bring everything before You and ask You to begin healing what I have been unable to heal by myself.
Through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, defend my heart from bitterness, hatred, resentment, and the desire to revenge myself. Give me the grace to forgive without pretending that what happened was acceptable. Help me release into Your hands those who have hurt me and entrust justice to You. Where reconciliation is possible and safe, give me wisdom and humility; where distance is necessary, give me peace. Do not allow the wounds of my past to control my future. Heal my heart and teach me to walk in freedom. Amen.
Ephesians 4:31-32
"Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger... Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Unforgiveness can become a heavy burden when we carry it for a long time. Sometimes we believe that holding on to anger will punish the person who hurt us, yet often the person who continues suffering is the wounded heart. We replay conversations, remember betrayals, imagine what we should have said, and wish that the person who hurt us would experience the same pain. The wound becomes part of our daily thoughts. Even when the person who caused the pain has moved on, we may remain trapped in the memory of what happened. God does not ask us to deny our pain. He invites us to bring that pain to Him so that He can begin transforming it.
Forgiveness does not mean saying that injustice was acceptable. It does not mean allowing someone to continue abusing, manipulating, or harming us. It does not always mean restoring a relationship or removing necessary boundaries. Forgiveness means surrendering our desire to personally repay evil with evil and entrusting justice to God. There are wounds that require time, prayer, honest conversations, wise boundaries, counselling, or pastoral support. The Lord can work through all these means as we seek healing. Through St. Michael's intercession, may we receive courage to confront the wounds within us instead of allowing them to become bitterness.
Today, I ask God to free me from the prison of resentment. I do not want the people who hurt me to continue controlling my peace long after the painful event has passed. I want to forgive according to the grace God gives me, one step at a time. I want to release the desire for revenge and allow God to be the judge of every injustice. Lord, heal my memories, purify my heart, and teach me to respond to pain without becoming what has wounded me. May the victory You give me be not the destruction of another person, but the freedom of my own heart.
St. Michael the Archangel, faithful servant of God, I ask for your intercession today because my heart carries wounds caused by people and situations I have struggled to forgive. You know the pain I have experienced and the anger that sometimes rises within me when I remember what happened. Pray for me before God, that I may receive the grace to surrender these wounds to Him. Help me resist the temptation to seek revenge and teach me to entrust every injustice to the righteous judgment of God.
St. Michael, defend me against the bitterness that slowly destroys peace. When painful memories return, help me bring them before Jesus rather than allowing anger to control me. When I am tempted to curse those who hurt me, help me pray for God's mercy and justice instead. When I feel that forgiveness is impossible, remind me that God can work within a wounded heart and gradually give me the grace I need.
Mighty Archangel, pray for everyone who is carrying hidden resentment. Pray for those who have been betrayed by people they trusted, abandoned by those they loved, rejected by their families, hurt in marriage, mistreated at work, deceived by friends, or wounded by someone they once loved. May the Lord meet them in their pain and give them the courage to seek healing. May they never allow another person's wrongdoing to destroy the goodness God has placed within them.
St. Michael the Archangel, help me choose freedom over bitterness, peace over revenge, and healing over hatred. Intercede for me that I may forgive without abandoning wisdom, establish healthy boundaries where necessary, and continue my journey without carrying yesterday's wounds into tomorrow. May Jesus Christ heal my heart and give me the grace to love without allowing hatred to take root within me. Amen.
Today, we pray the Chaplet of St. Michael for freedom from unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, hatred, and the desire for revenge.
Let us bring before God the names of those who have hurt us, not to condemn them, but to surrender them into God's hands. We also pray for the grace to recognize our own wounds and to seek healing where necessary.
Here, mention the people, situations, relationships, or painful experiences you desire to surrender to God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I place before You every wound that has remained in my heart. I surrender the anger I cannot control, the memories I cannot forget, and the pain I have carried for too long. Through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, defend my heart from hatred and help me surrender every desire for revenge into Your hands.
Lord, give me the grace to forgive according to Your will. Heal me where I am wounded, strengthen me where I am weak, and give me wisdom where relationships require boundaries. May I never allow bitterness to become the foundation of my life. Lead me toward the freedom and peace that come from Your mercy. Amen.
O God, come to my assistance.
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of the holy Seraphim, pray that the love of God may burn away every hatred and bitterness within my heart. Help me choose love even when I have been deeply wounded.
Our Father...
Hail Mary... (Three times, in honour of the Seraphim.)
St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of the holy Cherubim, pray that God may give me wisdom to understand my wounds and respond to them rightly. Help me distinguish forgiveness from foolishness and love from allowing myself to be harmed again.

St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of the holy Dominions, help me overcome the desire to retaliate against those who have hurt me. May I have self-control when anger rises and the wisdom to walk away from situations that would cause further harm.

St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of the holy Virtues, pray that God may give me patience as I heal. Some wounds take time. Help me not to condemn myself because I am still healing, but to continue bringing my pain before God.
Our Father...

St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of the holy Principalities, pray for my family and relationships. Where there has been division, betrayal, or hatred, ask God to bring healing, wisdom, and peace. Where reconciliation is possible, open the way according to His will.
Our Father...
Hail Mary... (Three times, in honour of the Principalities.)
St. Michael the Archangel, together with the holy Archangels, pray that God may heal the wounds that others cannot see. Help me seek the support, counsel, and healing I need instead of suffering silently.
Our Father...
Hail Mary... (Three times, in honour of the Archangels.)
St. Michael the Archangel, through the intercession of all the holy angels, help me walk in the freedom of God's children. May I leave behind the chains of resentment and move forward with a heart that is being healed by God's mercy.
Our Father...
Hail Mary... (Three times, in honour of the Angels.)
Heavenly Father, I thank You for hearing my prayers. I surrender to You every person who has caused me pain and every situation that has wounded my heart. I no longer want to carry hatred, resentment, or the desire for revenge. Give me the grace to forgive according to Your will and to entrust every injustice to Your righteous judgment.
Lord Jesus, heal the memories that continue to hurt me. Give me wisdom to establish healthy boundaries and courage to seek help where healing requires support. Through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, protect my heart from bitterness and guide me into the freedom that comes from Your mercy. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel, I ask you to intercede for me because I desire to be free from every wound that has kept my heart in bondage. I surrender the people who betrayed me, rejected me, abandoned me, lied to me, disappointed me, or treated me unjustly. I surrender the words that wounded me and the memories that still make me angry. Help me place everything before God and refuse to allow hatred to determine the person I become.
Heavenly Father, I forgive those I am able to forgive today, and where I am still struggling, give me the grace to continue the journey of forgiveness. Heal me gradually and completely according to Your will. Protect me from revenge and from allowing pain to make me bitter. May I learn to move forward without denying what happened, but without remaining imprisoned by it. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend my heart against bitterness and hatred.
St. Michael the Archangel, help me forgive those who have wounded me.
St. Michael the Archangel, lead me from resentment into the freedom and peace of Christ.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Lord Jesus, I surrender to You the deepest wounds of my heart. I surrender every betrayal, rejection, disappointment, injustice, and painful memory that I have carried for too long. You know how deeply some people have hurt me. You know the anger I have hidden and the tears I have cried when nobody was watching. Today, I choose to place these wounds into Your hands. I ask You to heal what I cannot heal by myself and give me the grace to forgive without denying the reality of what happened.
Lord, I surrender my desire to see those who hurt me suffer. I surrender every thought of revenge and every conversation I continue having in my mind about what happened. I give You the right to judge every injustice. Give me wisdom to know when reconciliation is appropriate and when I must maintain distance and boundaries. May the pain of my past never become the prison of my future. Through Your mercy, make my heart free again. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the grace to pray this seventh day of the novena. I ask You to continue healing every wounded place within me. Where there is bitterness, plant peace. Where there is hatred, teach me love. Where there is anger, give me self-control. Where there is pain, give me healing. Where there is a desire for revenge, teach me to trust Your justice.
Through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, protect my heart and guide my steps. May I never allow the wrong committed against me to destroy the goodness You have placed within me. Give me the grace to forgive, the wisdom to establish healthy boundaries, and the courage to move forward. May I become a person who has been wounded but not destroyed, disappointed but not defeated, and hurt but still capable of loving. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL, DEFEND US IN BATTLE.
