In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O God of mercy, forgiveness, and boundless love, we come before You today with hearts that carry the weight of hurt, resentment, and memories that are difficult to release. You call us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to love even when we have been wounded, and to let go of bitterness so that our hearts may be free. Yet we acknowledge that forgiveness is often not easy, especially when the pain we have experienced runs deep and when the wounds left behind still affect our thoughts, emotions, and relationships. At times, we struggle not because we do not want to forgive, but because we do not know how to release what has hurt us so deeply.
Lord, through the Sorrowful Heart of Mary, grant us the grace to begin the journey of forgiveness with sincerity and courage. Help us to understand that forgiveness does not erase what happened, nor does it ignore the pain, but it opens the door for healing and freedom within our hearts. Remove from us the desire for revenge, the weight of bitterness, and the tendency to hold onto past wounds. Fill our hearts instead with compassion, patience, and the strength to entrust justice into Your hands. Teach us to forgive not by our own strength, but through the grace that flows from Your mercy, so that we may experience the peace that comes from letting go.
O Sorrowful Mother, today we reflect on the difficulty of forgiveness and the deep struggle that many hearts experience when trying to let go of past hurts. You witnessed your Son being rejected, mocked, and crucified, yet even in that moment of great suffering, He chose to forgive, saying, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Your heart, united with His, embraced a love that was greater than pain, a mercy that was stronger than injustice.
Mother, many people today carry wounds that are difficult to release. Some have been hurt by words that cut deeply, others by actions that broke trust, and still others by experiences that left lasting emotional scars. These wounds can remain alive within the heart, influencing how we see others and how we respond to situations, often making forgiveness feel like an impossible task.
Teach us that forgiveness is not a single moment, but a journey that unfolds step by step. Help us to understand that choosing to forgive does not mean forgetting the pain, but rather choosing not to let that pain control our hearts. Through your example, show us that mercy has the power to transform even the deepest wounds into places of grace.
Loving Mother, we bring before you the people and situations that we struggle to forgive. The memories that still cause pain, the injustices that feel unresolved, and the emotions that remain heavy within us. You know how difficult it can be to release these burdens and to open our hearts again.
Help us to take the first step toward forgiveness, even if it is small. Give us the grace to pray for those who have hurt us, to entrust them into God’s hands, and to believe that healing is possible. Soften our hearts where they have become hardened and restore our ability to love freely.
O Mother of Sorrows, guide us toward the freedom that comes from forgiveness. Help us to release every burden into God’s hands and to walk in the peace that comes from a heart that is no longer bound by resentment.
O Blessed Mother of Sorrows, whose heart remained filled with love and mercy even in the face of suffering and injustice, look with compassion upon all who struggle to forgive and to let go of past wounds. You understand the depth of human pain and the difficulty of releasing what has hurt us.
Mother, obtain for us the grace to forgive with sincerity and courage. When resentment tries to take root in our hearts and when memories of pain return, remind us that forgiveness is a path to freedom and healing. Teach us to place our pain into God’s hands and to trust that He will bring justice and restoration according to His will.
We place before you today all the situations in our lives where forgiveness is needed. The relationships that have been broken, the words that caused pain, and the actions that left wounds within our hearts. We also pray for those who struggle to forgive themselves and who carry guilt or regret.

O Mother who remained faithful in love, even in suffering, help us to remain faithful to the call to forgive. Strengthen our hearts so that we may choose mercy over resentment and healing over bitterness.
Holy Mother of Sorrows, guide us through this Lenten journey and lead us toward the peace that comes from forgiveness and the freedom that comes from letting go. Amen.
Most Sorrowful Mother, your heart was united with the mercy of your Son, who forgave even in the midst of His suffering. Through your sorrow, you reveal to us that love and forgiveness are stronger than pain and that mercy has the power to heal what seems broken.
O Queen of Martyrs, obtain for me the grace to forgive those who have hurt me and to release every burden of resentment. Help me to follow the example of Christ and to trust that God’s justice is perfect. May your maternal intercession guide me toward a heart that is free, peaceful, and filled with love.
Hail Mary… (7 times)
O Mother most holy and sorrowful, Queen of Martyrs, you who remained filled with compassion and mercy even in moments of deep sorrow, look kindly upon me as I kneel before you today. By the love that sustained your heart and by the grace that enabled you to unite your suffering with that of your Son, receive my prayer offered with humility, trust, and hope.
Loving Mother, because your Son refuses you nothing, present my petition before His Sacred Heart with tenderness and confidence. Ask Him to hear my prayer and grant it according to His most holy and perfect will. Through the merits of His Sacred Passion and your loving intercession, I humbly pray:

Mother most merciful, when I struggle to forgive and when my heart feels burdened by past pain, I turn to you with trust and confidence. Offer to Jesus one drop of His Precious Blood and one loving plea from your Sorrowful Heart on my behalf. Remind Him that you are truly our sweetness, our life, and our hope. Confident in your maternal intercession, I trust that my prayer will be heard and answered according to God’s loving and perfect will. Amen.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
O Lord Jesus Christ, through the loving intercession of Your Sorrowful Mother, receive the prayers we have offered today. Heal the wounds within our hearts and give us the grace to forgive as You have forgiven us. Help us to release every burden of resentment and to walk in the freedom of Your love.
Bless those who struggle with forgiveness and those who long for peace within their hearts. As we continue walking with Mary to the Foot of the Cross, grant us the grace to live in mercy, love, and reconciliation. We entrust our hearts completely into Your loving care, now and forever. Amen.
Our Father…
